The Rotary Club of Sleaford Kesteven has joined forces with its Mother Club, the Rotary Club of Sleaford to raise money to aid the people of Ukraine. We are working directly with Rotary Clubs in Poland (and hopefully with Clubs in the Ukraine if they are still able) to send money. The people of the UK (and the rest of the world) have been very generous in providing supplies to be sent to Eastern Europe but we have been advised that money is need by agencies in the area to simply buy fuel so that those supplies can be transported into the Ukraine. To that end both Sleaford Clubs will be ‘rattling tins’ in both Sleaford and Ruskington from Friday 11th and Saturday 12th March. The locations in Sleaford have yet to be confirmed but Rotarians will be in the Winchelsea car park in Ruskington from 10am on Friday and Saturday. Rotary guarantee that at least 99% of the donations will reach the affected areas (this figure is based on previous collections for the Tsunami in Asia and the earthquakes in Haiti in the early 2000s).
