The President and two members of The Rotary Club of Sleaford Kesteven have presented cheques, raised from the proceeds of the recent St George’s Beer Festival 2018, to Rod Munro (team leader Make Lunch) and Bob and Wendy Oldershaw (The Junction) in support of two of Community Impact projects in Sleaford.
‘Make lunch’ is a group of volunteers who provide children entitled to free school meals with a daily meal during school holidays and also periodic meal events for the elderly or isolated, like a Christmas Dinner.
‘The Junction’ is a weekly evening event where homeless, vulnerable and lonely people can come and enjoy a home cooked meal, some social activities and where possible professional advice and support.
We are especially proud to be able to support other volunteer groups in our area in the provision services to our community
